Challenging Incumbent: Don Barnett

Johnny Woodward, is currently employed by Industrial Packaging Corporation.  He was elected to the Cobb County Fair Board in 2002 and serves as a Cobb Regional board member for WellStar Health System.  Woodward owned and operated Johnny's Steak and Bar-B-Que in Powder Springs for 17 years, Woodward Hardware and General Store in Dallas, Ga. for four years and was part owner of West Cobb Funeral Home for seven years.  He resides on Corner Road in Powder Springs.

Challenging Incumbent: Al Fortney

William C. Sharp, Jr. has been a Cobb County resident for 21 years.  Mr. Sharp received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting from Franklin University.  He served in the United States Marine Corps and is a Vietnam veteran.  After military service he went to work for his family-owned wood preserving business where he later became president of the company.  In 1987 he sold his interest in the family business and moved to Marietta, Ga., where he worked as manager of Gibson Greeting's distribution facility.  In 2002 he retired from American Greetings after American Greetings acquired Gibson.  He resides in Acworth with his wife Charlotte, and they have three grown children.

Challenging Incumbent: Frank Boone

Ralph Frey, Sr., is a retired builder-developer and past owner of the Old Mill Cabinet Shop.  He served four years in the U.S. Coast Guard.  Frey was a member of the Young Life Committee.  He is a Marietta native and he and his wife are members of Marietta First United Methodist Church.  He lives with his wife, Nan, in West Marietta.  They have four children and ten grandchildren.
